Probably built in 1908-09 by James B. Mack, a clerk for the Price Drug Company, this large frame house is typical of the Neoclassical Boxes built at the time. It is one of many substantial residences erected along Elm, Walnut and Cherry Streets around the turn of the century - town homes for the middle and upper-middle class. Having undergone little exterior alteration since it construction, it has retained a great degree of architectural integrity.
