National Register of Historic Places - Henry T. Fowler House (Armour Boulevard MRA)
Statement of Significant: The residence is one of the few remaining dwellings built on the Boulevard at the turn of the century for prominent Kansas Citians. Henry T. Fowler, the original resident of the house, was president of the Fowler Commission Company. The residence, which relies heavily on Georgian elements in its design, is built of cut stone, and reflects the substantial, imposing quality of those early residences. In 1930, when zoning changes allowed commercial enterprises along the Boulevard, the residence was used as offices for the Midland Life Insurance Company.
