Life Long Home

My Mother and Father built this home on a re-plated corner lot as a Mid-Century modern home. The house had 3 bedrooms, 1 Bathroom a Living Room, Dining Room and kitchen. The house was basically rectangular shaped with a see-through fireplace between Kitchen and Dining Room. The living room looked out at Lake Harvey. Around 1960 the house was added onto creating an L-shape with a Master Bedroom/Bath addition, a screened in porch and an oversized three car garage. The previous 3rd bedroom was converted into a Den where we would always watch the Edina Hornets win their championship games under Williard Ikola. My Mother continued to live in the house until about 1996 when it was sold to an individual contractor who slightly changed the interior floor plan. Eventually it was sold to a new owner who rebuilt the whole house leaving the basic foundations and the current Tuscan Style house in its place.
